Is Invisalign a good alternative to regular braces?

Yes, we can accommodate you if you use a wheelchair. Our practice has a short step at the front entrance, so we will place a wheelchair-safe ramp in front of it upon your arrival. How long will my Invisalign treatment take?

The total treatment time for Invisalign varies from person to person, but most people complete their treatment within 12 months. Teeth with mild alignment issues can be corrected in as little as six months. More serious cases can take up to 18 months, perhaps even longer. Schedule an initial consultation with an Invisalign dentist to get a treatment time estimate based upon your individual needs.

What happens if I lose an Invisalign aligner?

There is no need to panic if you end up losing or damaging one of your Invisalign aligners. Contact your local Invisalign dental team right away for advice. If you are on the verge of starting a new set of aligners, our team might advise you to move on to your next set. If it will be some weeks before your teeth are ready for their next set, however, then we may advise you to wear the aligner from the previous set to help your teeth stay in their current alignment until we provide you with a replacement.

What foods should I avoid during my Invisalign treatment?

Happily, you do not have to worry about avoiding any specific foods when you have treatment with Invisalign. The important thing is to take out your aligners any time you eat food or drink anything that is not plain water. As long as your aligners are not in your mouth, they cannot be damaged by the foods you eat, and you are free to enjoy all the foods you love.

Can I get Invisalign treatment if I have dental crowns and fillings?

Yes, Invisalign treatment is generally safe for teeth that have had restorative dental treatments. Removable clear aligners move individual teeth without the need to bind all the teeth together with metal wires. You still need to discuss your individual treatment needs with an Invisalign dentist beforehand, however, to make sure that your current dental work will not be affected by the aligners.
